ADMISSIONS
Your physician will make the preliminary arrangements (or your admission to PIONEER Community Hospital. It is important that the Admissions Department receive complete financial and insurance information before you enter the hospital.
EMERGENCY ROOM
If you are critically ill or being admitted as an emergency patient a relative or family member may register you with the help of your admissions representative. Depending upon the circumstances of the emergency admission; a business office representative may visit your room to obtain additional information. If you have insurance, the following verifiable guarantees will be needed depending upon your type of coverage.
- Medicare Medicaid or HMO card
- Individual or group identification card
- Guarantee or payment from employer
- Workman's compensation
- Pre-admission certification required by your insurer
- Copy of drivers license
In addition please check with your insurance carrier about other specific requirements they may need, before care is provided. |
FINANCIAL
ARRANGEMENTS
Except in emergency, a Deposit is requested of all patients who have only one form of insurance coverage. Private pay patients will be expected to pay a percentage of the estimated bill before discharge. Arrangements for payment should be made before discharge.
YOUR HOSPITAL BILL
If you gave us insurance information, your bill will be sent to the appropriate carrier. A statement will be sent out each month indicating the status of your account.
FEES NOT COVERED
Your final hospital bill will not include the charges for your physician, surgeon, or any consulting physicians. In addition, the radiologist and pathologist are billed separately.
GOING HOME
Unless prior financial arrangements have been made, you will he asked to stop by the Business Office before your discharge from the hospital. If your hospitalization insurance has been verified, you will be required to pay only those charges not covered under your policy, such us any deductible or co-insurance that applies |
